Six months after taking on her first design job, Meredith landed on the first of three shows she would do for HGTV, including "Restaurant Makeover,” that also aired on the Food Network. She has been a frequent design expert on national television programs ever since.
The vibrant redheaded founded her own firm nine years ago, featuring a bold and distinct style that blends the classic and the unexpected while always complementing each client’s unique lifestyle.“I wanted my DXV bathroom to be opulent without being ostentatious,” Meredith says. Drawing fixtures and fittings from the Golden Era’s Fitzgerald and Wyatt collections, she combined the best of Art Deco with the modern conveniences we have come to expect in bathrooms. “The space is both decadent and luxurious, but shows restraint—a hallmark of its contemporary sensibility.”
“I’ve always trusted in the Internet’s ability to connect people,” says Meredith, who met her best friend and her husband that way. She Instagrams a lot of her day, which she then shares on Facebook. “I also tweet,” she continues. “I'm big on authenticity. I'm direct and to the point. It's just one of the ways I pull back the curtain on the world of design."

The Modern Gatsby is Opulent without being ostentatious. It is both Decadent & Luxurious but shows restraint, a hallmark of it’s contemporary sensibility. It combines the best of Art Deco with the modern conveniences we have come to expect in bathrooms. It allows one to preen & pamper and to luxuriate in the ritual itself.
The DXV products stand out against the rich cool blue greys that adorn the walls. The floor, by New Ravenna, is a classic Art Deco geometric design that is plays out in dramatic Gatsby-esque fashion. A Modern Gatsby space would not be possible without a little Gilding - which only Zia Priven’s breathtaking lighting could provide.
Archways lead one into spaces that are personal & functional. The fireplace & ottoman however create both a showy & intimacy that transforms this space beyond the functional.
An escape, a stage on which the personal story of it’s owner gets told each day. This is the true heart of the home - where all the secrets are kept.
